Data controller

Julian Reed AS is the data controller for the personal data we collect through hopeless.no.

What we collect, and why

When you shop: name, address, email, phone number and order details. We need this to fulfil the purchase agreement. We never see your card number; payment is handled by the payment provider.

When you sign up for the newsletter: your email address. The basis is your consent, and you can unsubscribe at any time.

When you visit the site: technical data such as IP address, browser type and which pages you look at. See the section on cookies.

Who we share with

We share only what is necessary to deliver your order:

• Shopify, which runs the online store
• Payment providers (Shopify Payments and Klarna)
• 360 Logistics, who pack and ship the order
• The carrier that delivers your parcel
• Accounting system for bookkeeping

We never sell your data on.

How long we keep it

Order data is kept for five years, as required by the Norwegian Bookkeeping Act. Newsletter sign-ups are kept until you unsubscribe.

Your rights

You can ask for access to what we hold about you, have errors corrected, have the data deleted, have it handed over in a common file format, and object to the processing. Send an email to magnus@hopeless.no and we will reply within 30 days.

If you disagree with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority (Datatilsynet).

Cookies

We use cookies to make the store work, and for statistics and marketing. You choose what you accept in the consent banner the first time you visit, and you can change your choice at any time.
